Longmont abounds with parks and open space totaling 1500 acres. It has one of the most spectacular views of Longs Peak of any place in Colorado, encompasses a 736-acre body of water that was created during the last glacial age and is one of only a few natural lakes in Colorado; and is only 30 miles away from Rocky Mountain National Park. In Longmont, you can freely breathe, and where you can freely breathe is where you belong.

Longmont is located in Boulder County and conveniently located 37 miles north of Denver and 16 miles east of Boulder. According to the Boulder County website, the Software and Information Industry Association has stated that the Boulder/Longmont area has the highest concentration of software related jobs in the nation. Furthermore, Longmont leads Boulder and Broomfield counties with the highest number of local residents employed.

An interesting fact about Longmont is that the first store to carry the J.C. Penney name was located in Longmont!

The school district is the St. Vrain Valley School District; and according to it’s website, 78% of St. Vrain Schools are accredited with Distinction or Performance.  Colorado University is located in nearby Boulder.
